San Francisco is looking for a Senior Graphic Designed to do the following:

Manage a design team in design and production of graphics for Communications and Marketing materials produced throughout the region, including brochures, postcards, advertisements, journal announcements, presentations. Apply and enforce company’s style conventions for all marketing materials. Manage display photography of projects and people and provide photographic services as needed. Liaise with freelancers and outside consultants/contractors (e.g., advertising agencies, print bureaus) on graphics, photography projects. Provide billable design, photographic and graphics support to Arup’s businesses. Advise on graphics, design, photography and corporate style. Assemble compelling presentations for project and promotional use. Manage Arup’s local image library.

Requirements:

Educational/Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Graphic Design or related field followed by 8 years post baccalaureate progressive experience in the job offered or related Graphic Design occupations.

Experience and/or education must include:

1.       Knowledge of both Apple and PC platforms;  

2.       Graphics software: Creative Suite (In-Design, Illustrator, Photoshop); 3D modeling Software (SketchUp); Interactive Animation/Presentation software (Flash, PowerPoint, Acrobat Pro);

3.       Photography skills: Photography, propping/styling, direction, color correction, archiving;

4.       All aspects of commercial and marketing materials;

5.       Animated banner and e-card design;

6.       Page layout creation, editorial/type hierarchy;

7.       Print design techniques in collateral for global markets;

8.       CADD exports;

9.       Provide on the job training of junior straff;

10.    Work with engineer or engineering consultant.
