Vacancy Number 10-0242 Post Date 07/26/2010 Discipline CAD Title CAD Operator Description Our Toronto office is seeking a Civil/Structural CAD Drafter to support our Infrastructure group. The successful candidate will have strong experience using AutoCAD and Microstation. Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: • Use AutoCAD and Microstation software to produce 2D drawings and documentation • Use Bentley InRoads software to produce 3D civil designs • Coordinate work directly with engineers • Work under minimal supervision • Take responsibility for definable parts of a project • Take responsibility for own work produced to a high standard • Initial checking of own work • Ensuring outputs meet the required standards • Meeting agreed deadlines • Maintaining drawing register Requirements Requirements: • Candidates must have between 3-5 years of thorough working knowledge using AutoCAD and Microstation for drafting and design • A minimum of 2 years of proficient civil design experience using Bentley InRoads software would be an asset • Experience working on large infrastructure projects • Have sound knowledge of engineering principles Qualities: • Good communication skills essential for team-based working • Planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment • Must be highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges • Able to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines • Regular contact with direct supervisor, other technicians in the team and project staff in other disciplines Apply On-line Apply On-line Send to a Friend Send This Job to a Friend
