As a member of the Los Angeles Resilience Security and Risk Consulting Group, you will provide support on resilience, risk and security consulting projects in the Americas and as otherwise directed. This includes but is not limited to the following:
• Assist in preparation of specifications, drawings and incorporate drawing markups detailing electronic security systems (ACAMS, CCTV, IDS, Operations Centers, etc.) designs as instructed.
• Assist in the development of standard drawings details.
• Assist in the review of cut-sheets and RFIs.
• Assist in the development of specifications documents.
• Assist in conducting assessment, survey and review of electronic security systems and resilience, risk and security protection programs.
• Assist in the preparation of reports as requested.
• Work on defined tasks under supervision.
• Perform physical protection security system design calculations.
• Research, evaluate and select or make recommendations in the selection of electronic security, surveillance and communications equipment for use in physical protection systems.
• Coordinate work and physical security protection system requirements with engineers of other disciplines that may be in-house or external.
• Attend meetings with senior staff to aid in the discussion and documentation of Client needs.
• Attend construction site meetings with senior staff.
• Take responsibility for sections of work which may include some supervision of other staff.
• Support Resilience Security and Risk consulting projects in other Arup offices nationally and internationally upon direction of Los Angeles Resilience Security and Risk Group senior staff.




Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering with sound knowledge and/or interest in electronic security systems (ACAMS, CCTV, IDS, Operations Centers, etc.) design and resilience, risk and security policies and programs.
  • Prior Internships desirable
  • Experience and proficiency with AutoCAD and other like software..
  • Must have good communication skills essential for team-based working.
  • Must be capable of multi-tasking and working within a team environment.
